About Us
Our Mission Statement
Angela’s Crown Foundation exists to celebrate and serve women in Casper, Wyoming who are living their everyday lives in quietly extraordinary ways, and to allow their stories to encourage and inspire their community. The ways it seeks to do this include but are not limited to online spotlight conversations, gifts of recognition, and assistance in obtaining mental health services when needed to help a woman live her most extraordinary life.
From Our Founder
I moved to Wyoming from the East Coast as a high school senior, and to Casper in 1999 with my husband and young children. This is where we raised our family and put down our roots, and we are so grateful that God led us here to do so! Over the years, I have fallen deeply in love with Wyoming, and especially with Casper and its surrounding communities. Even more than its rustic beauty, the people who call this home have captured my heart. A few years ago, I began specifically noticing how many truly extraordinary women live in our community! Their strength, individuality, and authenticity are all so beautiful, and their stories are so powerful and inspiring. I wanted to create something that would recognize and celebrate them while encouraging and empowering those around us.
Shortly after this vision began taking shape, I lost my beloved younger sister Angela. While I had always treasured her beyond measure and seen her beautiful soul, it wasn’t until after her death that our family learned of the countless lives that are still being changed by the true beauty she possessed and the strength with which she lived. Angela epitomized humility, compassion, authenticity, gentleness, and quiet service. She also dealt with mental health struggles most of her life, which at their worst were debilitating. Her courage and perseverance were severely tested but she never gave up, and never stopped making her world a better place. I wanted to create something that would honor and celebrate her extraordinary life for years to come while humbly serving others in love as Angela always did.
So Angela’s Crown Foundation was born: a non-profit organization that is passionate about spotlighting exceptional women who are not seeking it for themselves, but who are quietly changing their world. I am so grateful for this privilege of giving back to the community that has given so much to me, and for this opportunity to showcase Casper’s amazing women!
Gratefully,
